Home Community Café: for everyone in Didsbury

Everyone is valued at Home, everyone has something to give.

You’ll find us in the entrance of Emmanuel Church, nicely nestled just behind the library on Barlow Moor Road. We believe in nurturing relationships, getting involved, not rushing on, and perhaps more importantly, always having the kettle right on and a ridiculously warm welcome waiting for all ages, and all walks of life.

Run by volunteer Home-Makers, every penny we make over and above the running costs of the café is reinvested locally; so it’s a bit like a community chest where the community itself decides how to use the money wisely.

Whether you’re a frazzled parent, a toddler bursting with energy, someone looking for a listening ear, or maybe someone who doesn’t find it so easy to get out and about these days, you’ll find a warm welcome at Home.

That’s what Home is – somewhere where you are accepted, loved and known for who you are, that sweet spot where people connect, engage and are maybe inspired to see things a little differently. Or, if you just fancy a cuppa and a catch-up, we’re good with that too.
