Coffee Concert: 17 October – cellist Andrew Harsley

The 35th season of Coffee Concerts continued on Saturday 17 October with a performance by cellist Andrew Harsley.

The programme comprised three works for unaccompanied cello:

JS Bach – Suite No.1 in G major, BWV 1007
Imogen Holst – The Fall of the Leaf
Paul Hindemith – Sonata for Solo Cello, Op.25 , No.3

It was a fantastic programme, with a combination of sheer beauty, lyricism, intensity and excitement.
