The use of Zoom has transformed the lives of many sick/disabled/housebound people by enabling them to attend meetings and events they would otherwise be excluded from.
As part of our vision to be an inclusive church, SJE is keen to continue to include these people in future and is planning for the lounge at No.6 to be a Zoom room where meetings can be held in person while allowing others to join in on Zoom.
Since May, Alison Whale has been fundraising for charity by making high quality face masks. She will now be selling face masks to raise money towards funding the Zoom room.
Alison’s face masks have the following features:
- Choice of many different fabrics, two different styles, four different sizes
- Three layers (two of closely-woven cotton, one of sewn-in and washable polypropylene filter material – shown by research to be the fabric combination offering the best protection for homemade masks)
- Interchangeable adjustable ties (more comfortable, better fit) and adjustable ear loops (quicker to take on and off)
- Mouldable metal nose piece and tapered chin designs to eliminate gapping, and prevent glasses fogging up
Masks cost £10 each including postage and packing, £7.50 of which will be donated to setting up the Zoom room.
