Philip, a proud Lancastrian is married to Jill a Kentish Maid, so of course their 4 sons were born in Yorkshire; partly explaining why Philip supports Sheffield Wednesday.

Our sending Church was St. Thomas Crookes, Sheffield, 2 years at Trinity College Bristol followed by a curacy in Grenoside, walking distance from Hillsbrough: a church plant in Farnborough, Hampshire; Old Dean, (Camberley) Surrey, and Bushbury, Wolverhampton.

Much of our time in Manchester has been dominated by visiting our surviving mothers in Garstang and Dartford, one son married son in Hamburg and another married son with a daughter in Sassuolo, Reggio Emelia, Italy. My first service in St. James was in 2008, a marriage service for our second son, little did we guess we would settle in Withington and in St. James & Emmanuel.
