Beyond Inclusion: Resource films for use in churches

For use with church groups, PCCs or church leadership teams

We’re contacted every week by churches up and down the country, and across the world, who want to know the power of full inclusion.  In order to help you on your journey of inclusive Gospel love we have made a series of videos available for viewing and for downloading.  The first two films were made in conjunction with John Bell of the Iona Community, the films complement one another and finish with reflective questions that you might want to use with your leadership group, home group or PCC.

We have also made a further two films available for viewing and download.  The first film was produced for the BBC’s Inside Out programme on Monday 24th September 2018 and created a nationwide conversation.  The second film was broadcast the following day on North West Tonight and looks at the work of the twelve churches who make up the Deanery of Withington, of which we are a part.  We hope and pray that these four films will honour the memory of a very special young woman: Lizzie Lowe.  We are happy to make all these films freely available to everyone but if you do decide to give a donation then please mark your gift ‘Lizzie’ and we’ll know to put it toward the Youth Cafe set up in her memory.

Beyond Inclusion: Part One – Lizzie Lowe’s Story

Lizzie was unable to bridge the gap between her Christian faith and her identity as a gay young person.  In the first film we hear from Lizzie’s parents and then John Bell interviews Nick Bundock about the inclusive revolution that Lizzie unleashed in their church.  There are reflective questions at the end of the film.

You can download the film HERE

Beyond Inclusion: Part Two – John Bell’s Story

John Bell was moved to speak about his own sexuality at Greenbelt in 2017 after hearing about Lizzie on the radio.  In the second film we hear John’s story as he is interviewed by Nick Bundock.  Again, there are reflective questions at the end of this film.
