The space

Emmanuel is a large and flexible space which on the one hand can project a business-like atmosphere, or on the other, a convivial and friendly ambience within which your teams can meet and enjoy their work-life challenges.

Seating capacity is flexible up to a maximum number of 100 delegates. Room layout can be bespoke to your requirements using various chair and table layouts and there is a modular dais that can be pre-configured to fit a top-table panel or serve a presenter’s individual needs.

Emmanuel offers a large, flexible space.

As an indication of the versatility and diversity of use, previous clients include HS2 for public consultation, NHS for vaccinations, Church for Everyone for a national conference, Didsbury Civic Society for a community assembly and regular orchestral concerts in association with Royal Northern College of Music.

Location

Emmanuel church is situated fives miles from Manchester city centre and is well served for cafés, restaurants and pubs. Didsbury offers excellent shopping plus a number of cash points.

There are several local hotels – notably Didsbury Park and Park House hotels, Waterside Hotel and Leisure Club, plus East Didsbury Travelodge and West Didsbury Premier Inn.

Emmanuel, located in the centre of Didsbury village, and exceptionally convenient for public transport – is very well served by buses; Metrolink Tram Stop is less than five minutes walk away; East Didsbury rail station is a 20 minute walk.

15 minutes by car from from Manchester Airport; 10 minutes drive from the end of the M56, and just 30 minutes drive from Junction 19 on the M6 via A556.

There is limited parking available at Emmanuel, but there are public car parks close by on School Lane.

Facilities

Tastefully decorated with bespoke lighting arrangements to enhance ambience, there is a quality public address system along with digital presentation facilities. There is free WiFi throughout the venue.

Accessibility

The building is accessible for wheelchair users and there are excellent toilet and washroom facilities and a Changing Places accessible toilet.

The Changing Places toilet includes a sink, ahoist, accessible toilet and a bed on wheels.

Catering

On-site catering includes tea and coffee refreshments, and lunch can be prepared according to your requirements. Catering is by the Café team, part of the Emmanuel campus. The team caters for food allergies, gluten free, vegetarian or vegan needs.
