Success at the O2 Media Awards and RTS North West Awards

On Thursday 7 November 2019, Hilary and Kevin Lowe presented the TV Journalist of the Year Award to Abbie Jones for her BBC report The Church That Changed. The film tells the story behind Lizzie’s Legacy.

On 23 November, Abbie also received a Royal Televison Society award – ‘The Church That Changed’ was judged Best Regional Story in the north west.

Both awards are a fitting acknowledgement for the film, which covers the grief, challenges and transformation that have followed Lizzie’s death.
