Lillian works for LGBT+ people so that they are seen and heard, rather just than knowing them for their pronouns. She also has a message for the parents and families of LGBT+ people.
This is my story, I am still human is series of videos introducing Ugandan LGBTQ+ Christians supported by our Mission Partner UCAA-UG (Universal Coalition of Affirming Africans Uganda).
The series was filmed in June and July 2022 and features members of the LGBTQ+ community who have experienced persecution and imprisonment for simply existing.
Each story highlights the everyday and diverse experiences that the LGBTQ+ community faces living in Uganda.
The campaign was developed to elevate the voices of some of the most marginalised people in the world. It is hoped that sharing these stories of hardship and resilience will create awareness and empathy that will progress the religious and social inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in Africa.
